We went to Sapi Island and snorkeled with fish! It was so awesome! It like was swimming in a fish tank! We couldn’t get Landon to put on his mask and snorkel. He was too afraid he would see a catfish! It was really cool though. Mommy’s favorite fish was the clown fish in an anemone, Cecily’s was the same, Hallie’s was the rainbow fish, and mine was seeing the sea urchins with their long spines. Landon got to see the zebra fish and thought they were pretty cool. I think the funnest part was the boat ride out and back. It was really bumpy … almost like riding a roller coaster. The kids, even Amelia, were screaming “whoa!” Hallie said “there is something in my tummy that tingles when we go over a big wave!” We had lunch on the island … the kids didn’t like it so much but it really was authentic. It included fried noodles, fried rice, chicken curry satays, grilled chicken, roasted sweet potatoes, corn on the cob, steamed shrimp (heads and all), crab (broken in half), whole fish (heads and big eyes), boiled cabbage, mini-hot dogs, and some sort of sweet rice dessert cooked in banana leaves. It was a great day!
