Christmas Photos 08
Here are a few photos from Christmas that we wanted to share with everyone. We've had a nice time. Amelia has been so fun. We had ~25 people over for dinner on Christmas Eve. It was fun. We did the Nativity with the kids. We also hosted a lady who was on her way back to Mongolia after visiting her daughter at BYU Hawaii. She flew in on the 24th and departed on the 26th... she had to wait that long before she was able to catch a flight to Ulaan Baatar. She was very nice, and had lots of fun with Amelia. Christmas is always so fun!

The Zoo & Hutongs
Today we went to the Zoo to see the Panda's and then took a boat trip up to the Summer Palace. After the Summer palace we went to a traditional home district, called a Hutong. It was real great. We were able to ride a rickshaw in, and then actually visit the home of a family. Talk about an experience! Mom & Dad loved it. The zoo and summer palace were incredibly busy. My favorite comment from Dad today was "Man, I've never seen so many buses, cars and people! Makes a man want to move to Greenville just for some peace and quiet!" I laughed so hard. I think we wore them out today though ... we plan to take it easy tomorrow.

Lunch @ the Hard Rock & Shopping @ the Silk Market

Today we took mom & dad to the Hard Rock cafe for lunch and then to the Silk Market for some shopping. The Silk Market is always an experience! It's a rat race in there, with everyone grabbing you trying to get your attention. It was fun to see Mom bargaining. Dad didn't say much ... I think he was overwhelmed at the people and tight quarters! I did get him up on stage at the Hard Rock though! The one picture is them posing in front of a coat that Elvis wore on tour in 1952.
